Planning and local government reform in 2015 represents a significant change in the manner in which places will be perceived, valued, procured and maintained. Landscape Architecture is a unique profession at the interface between people and the natural environment, and this conference marks 50 years of the profession in Ireland and Northern Ireland.
Speakers will include Jason Prior, chief executive of planning and development at AECOM, who led the team that masterplanned the London 2012 Olympics and Andrew Grant, founder of Grant Associates, best known for the Gardens by the Bay in Singapore.
Also speaking will be Simon Ogden, head of city development at Sheffield City Council and Zac Tudor, principal landscape architect in Sheffield. They will talk about the way that landscape initiatives have transformed the shape and image of the city.
